Increase in Insured Funds

North Shore LIJ Health System Federal Credit Union is one of many credit unions that are included in the increase of federal savings insurance coverage from $100,000 to $250,000 per account as a part of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008. The increase takes effect from the date of enactment (October 3, 2008) until December 31, 2009.

NSLIJHSFCU is federally insured by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (similar to the FDIC for banks). Federally insured savings at credit unions have the same level of coverage as savings in federally insured banks.
